KNAS Music Organizer

Convert NCM or directly organize existing audio into a clean artist-and-album library, entirely on your NAS.

Latest version v0.3.0

Manual installation

Install the FPK from App Center

Music Organizer is not yet available in the fnOS or FygoOS app store. Both systems use the same manual installation flow.

Confirm the architecture before downloading

Choose the x86_64 or ARM64 package that matches your NAS processor before starting the installation.

  1. 01

    Download the correct FPK

Download the matching FPK to your computer. You can also use the NAS browser to save it directly to a storage folder.

  2. 02

    Open App Center

Sign in to the fnOS or FygoOS desktop and open App Center.

  3. 03

    Choose manual installation

Select Manual Install in App Center. Depending on the system version, it may appear in the main view or under Settings.

  4. 04

    Upload and confirm

Choose the downloaded .fpk file, upload it, and wait for the system to finish the installation.

  5. 05

    Open Music Organizer

After installation finishes, launch KNAS Music Organizer from the NAS desktop.

Local files only

Turn local audio files into an organized music library

Place NCM or common audio files on your NAS to get started. Music Organizer does not provide music resources or download services; it only processes files already stored on your NAS.

01

NCM conversion and plain-audio organization

Convert NCM locally; existing MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A, WAV, AIFF, Opus, DSF, and AAC files are read for metadata and copied byte-for-byte without uploading or re-encoding your library.

02

Metadata-based organization

Organizes converted tracks by artist and album, with configurable archive layouts and predictable fallbacks for missing metadata.

03

Controlled batch tasks

Scan before starting, monitor file-level progress, pause after the current file, and retry failed files when needed.

04

Lyrics and artwork together

Carries matching lyric and cover sidecar files into the organized output when they are available.

Workflow

A clear three-step path

Every task stays explicit, from the folders it can access to the files it will create.

  1. 01

    Choose source and target folders

Select folders already authorized in fnOS or FygoOS and choose the archive layout that fits your library.

  2. 02

    Scan and verify

Review the supported file count, expected output size, available space, conflicts, and task concurrency before creation.

  3. 03

    Start and monitor

Run the task when ready, follow progress from one screen, and inspect failed or skipped files without touching completed output.

Safety by design

Your source library remains the source of truth

Conversion is designed around conservative file handling, so a batch task cannot silently rewrite the collection you started with.

  • 01

Source files are opened read-only and are never deleted or modified.

  • 02

Existing target files are skipped and never overwritten.

  • 03

Deleting a task removes its records and logs, not source or output files.
